HOW DO I GET STARTED?

If you’re interested in making an appointment or learning more about what my clinic offers, the first step is to schedule a brief complimentary consultation call. You can do so by emailing me at: marcie@drmarciedudeck.com. I will be happy to discuss my services, learn what you hope to achieve in therapy, and answer your questions. Most importantly, I will determine if we are a good fit for working together.

You do not need a referral to receive services from my clinic.

CONSULTATION & TREATMENT PLANNING

During the initial session, I will begin by reviewing my clinic’s policies including the limits of confidentiality, informed consent, and the privacy policy at my clinic.

The first meeting involves an assessment of your difficulties, background history, and therapy goals. Where applicable, I will provide a diagnosis. We’ll also start creating an individualized treatment plan.

If your primary concerns or symptoms are not within my areas of work, I will provide you with appropriate referrals.

DO YOU PROVIDE VIRTUAL SESSIONS?

Yes! The world of therapy has changed. My clinic provides exclusively remote psychological services to individuals residing in Ontario. This allows you to easily and comfortably connect from your home or office.

I use a secure video therapy platform called Jane. Jane is compliant with Federal (PIPEDA) Privacy Laws and Ontario Laws (PHIPA) as well as regulation set out by The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).

FEES AND COVERAGE

Fees are charged on an hourly basis. Payment is due at the end of each session via e-transfer.

While private psychological services are not covered under OHIP, many extended health care insurance plans provide some coverage for psychological services. It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider prior to starting treatment to obtain information about your coverage. I will provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company. Non-reimbursed fees may be claimed as medical expenses on your income tax return.

SESSION INFORMATION

Therapy sessions last 50 minutes (of face-to-face time). The remaining 10 minutes of the hour are for me to complete documentation and other administrative tasks.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you’re unable to attend a session, please cancel at least 48 business hours’ in advance. Otherwise, the full session rate will be charged.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN EMERGENCY SITUATION?

I do not provide emergency crisis services. In case of an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
